The Code Blue Team

Our team consists of seasoned physicians, nurses, paramedics, EMTs, firefighters and police officers who call upon their real-life experiences to make CPR and other emergency training realistic and informative, yet fun.

Code Blue Resources was founded by Carla Baker, a Nationally Registered and North Carolina paramedic with more than 25 years’ experience in emergency medical services. In addition to her clinical experience and prior to Code Blue, Carla spent 23 years with a leading emergency medical equipment /supply/training company, serving as its President for the last 15 years. She is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Whether working as a paramedic or leading a company devoted to emergency medical training and equipment, her life’s work has been about helping save lives.

  • Our Medical Director, a physician with more than 35 years’ experience in emergency response, monitors our activities. He first started his career in the early 70s as an EMT in New York City and received his medical degree in 1985 from The Bowman Gray School of Medicine of Wake Forest University. He is certified by the American Board of Emergency Medicine and is a Fellow of American College of Emergency Physicians and the American Academy of Emergency Medicine.

Bulldogs are known for their tenacity, determination and courage. At Code Blue Resources we have that same bulldog tenacity about helping you save lives.

Our Founder and her husband Todd are also “owned” (you don’t own a bulldog, they own you) by two handsome English Bulldogs that are rescue pups. Just as Carla and Todd (also a paramedic) are passionate about saving human lives, they are passionate about helping save animal lives. They are both heavily involved in animal welfare groups, especially English Bulldog rescue.
