Dental Sedation CME Course
This instructor-led course provides dental professionals with the knowledge and skills to manage medical emergencies associated with sedation. Topics include cardiac, respiratory, and neurologic emergencies, as well as anaphylaxis and hypoglycemia, with a focus on recognition, pathophysiology, and initial treatment.
Participants will review airway management, oxygen delivery, patient monitoring (including pulse oximetry and ETCO₂), and the pharmacology of commonly used IV sedation agents. Emphasis is placed on rapid assessment and evidence-based emergency response.
This 3 CE Hour course is designed to fulfill the requirements of the North Carolina Board of Dental Examiners as set forth in 21 NCAC 16Q .0407 for conscious sedation continuing education.
Course Availability:
- This course is offered for dental groups and organizations by request only, with a minimum number of participants required. Many groups choose to have us provide this class in conjunction with other classes such as BLS for Healthcare Providers.
